Bareskrim Polri, the Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Department, seized a luxurious house in the Alam Sutera residential area of Tangerang Selatan (South Tangerang) in connection to the NET89 trading robot case involving suspect Andreas Andreyanto. The house, valued at Rp 15 billion, is intended to be occupied by Andreas’ daughter, identified as MA.

Details of the Investigation:

• Suspects and Charges: Andreas’ wife, Theresia Lauren (TL), who is also a suspect, was found to have received funds to build the house. However, it will be occupied by Theresia’s daughter, MA, who is currently in police custody along with other suspects. A total of 14 individuals, including TL, face money laundering (TPPU) charges.

• House Construction: The modern contemporary-style house, built on two land certificates, underwent renovations starting in 2021 but was halted in October 2024 when police uncovered illicit funds from the NET89 Ponzi scheme. The building was seized for court proceedings.

Police Actions:

• Asset Seizures: Prior to the house seizure, the police had confiscated two vehicles, a black BMW X5 and a Porsche, which were taken to the State Confiscated Goods Warehouse.

• Legal Process: The case files, now with a complete investigation report (P21), will be submitted to the public prosecutor for trial, ensuring legal certainty for the suspects’ assets.

Ongoing Investigations:

• Additional Suspects: While 14 individuals, including Andreas Andreyanto and key figures from PT Simbiotik Multitalenta Indonesia (SMI), have been named in the NET89 case, the police, led by Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan, are exploring the involvement of more suspects.

Seized Assets and Victim Count:

• Financial Impact: Authorities have confiscated assets worth Rp 1.4 trillion from the suspects, showcasing a significant sum of seized money. The investigation, handled by the Special Economic Crime Directorate (Dittipideksus) of Bareskrim, stems from 10 police reports and involves 2,388 victims of the fraudulent investment scheme.
